Jenny Page is a Midwestern nurse who has always had trouble with men. When her favorite British rock star fantasy man becomes her patient, Jenny knows she’s in for trouble. After he admits harboring a nurse fantasy, the sparks begin to fly. Their sizzling starts before he leaves the hospital to continue his concert tour, and grows into an out-of-control inferno when they meet up in New York City for a weekend of uninhibited passion and unexpected love.
ROCK ME is perfect for my first Ellora’s Cave book. I think women will enjoy the fantasy of the regular girl who gets the man of her dreams. What’s even better is that she ends up being his dream woman too. The sex is steamy, the passion palpable. I loved writing this because it’s my kind of fantasy.
Review of Rock Me by Brenda Talley at The Romance Studio.
Her characters were great in dealing with each other as well as the conflicts which occurred. The sexual scenes were hot and explicit. They did not, however, take away from the great storyline written here. It is definitely a book that readers will love, regardless of favorite genres. I loved this book and highly recommend it. Overall Rating: five hearts. Sensuality Rating: explicit.
Rock Me review by Manic Readers
Nurse Jenny Page wasn’t expecting her new patient to be the man that she’s dreamed of for years. Ian McAllister, lead singer of the rock group Escape, tripped over a cable and broke his arm, requiring surgery and an overnight stay in the hospital. But his nurse has him in a different kind of fever and is creating aches in all the right places. Can Ian convince Jenny that he is in need of her personal TLC or will she write their time off as just another rock star fling?
Melody Lane hits all the right notes with her new story Rock Me. Strumming the heartstrings like a pro she makes you climb the scales of joy as the main characters fall in love, hit the lows of dissonance as doubt and worry cycle in, and enjoy the crescendo of success as they negotiate their way out of peril and back into each other’s arms. (Okay I think I’m finished with the gratuitous music references.) In all seriousness this was an excellent story with a different take on how rock stars really feel and what they want. So often we look at celebrities and only see their fame instead of their humanity; it is great to see the other side now and then. Well done.
Review of Rock Me by Jennifer Bishop at RTTErotic
A tempting tale, ROCK ME involves two people living out their fantasies, and finding so much more. Jenny has often dreamed about Ian, but her recent bad experiences with men leave her less than interested in dating. From what she knows of Ian, she figures he’s not looking for romance, and so she decides to have a little fun with him. Ian’s nurse fantasy hasn’t been specific to Jenny, but once she admits to being in the front row at the previous night’s concert, he recognizes her and is thrilled that he’ll be able to get to know the sexy blond better.
Secondary characters include Jenny’s friend, Liz, who tips her off about Ian being in the hospital and then joins Jenny on her trip to New York; and Ian’s manager and band mates. There’s also a bit of suspense, as readers learn that the incident that caused Ian to be hospitalized was not an accident. An entertaining and erotic story, don’t miss ROCK ME.
Review of Rock Me by Joyfully Reviewed
Rock Me is hot and sexy but also a very fun book. Jenny is a very good nurse and loves working with her patients, but she has another side to her that is a rock groupie to her favorite band. Ian has what most guys would consider the perfect life, being in a top rock and roll band, travelling and most important, lots of women. I had to giggle a few times while watching Ian and Jenny circle each other, trying to see if the other really was being serious. I was happy for them as their relationship went from the testing phase in the beginning to the hot and spicy sex scenes as Ian and Jenny discovered what each of them wanted and needed. Ms. Lane also added a touch of suspense that had me wondering just what was behind the “accidents.” I loved how Ian and Jenny came together and overcame not only the danger confronting them but also things that could put a strain on their relationship. Rock Me is just the type of book that will always lift your mood and make you happy to read – one you won’t want to miss. I will be watching Ms. Lane’s page to see if she does any other band members stories – of course I hope she will.
